About Peru

There's really only one association with Peru: Machu Pichu. We'll get there eventually.

However, Peru is one of the world's most historically culturally diverse countries thanks to its diverse terrain, elevation and long vertical length on the map. It is important to learn Spanish in advance unless you want to eat dry sandwiches for the rest of your life.

Our Journey

Due to the southern hemisphere, the seasons in Peru are just about inverted. Thus, although we travelled in september, it was just the beginning of spring there. And many Peruvians could be seen in down jackets.

We won't spoil everything here; take a look at our Inbound Journey down below!

Inbound journey

Not really Peru, but you know what – it does not matter.

1

Lima

The capital city. Always smokey like salmon. But due to fog.

2

Paracas

Wildlife. Sand dunes. Stray dogs. One road.

3

Huacachina

Picturesque oasis in the middle of golden sand dunes.

4

Arequipa

White city which will stop your hard drive from working.

5

Puno

The Titicaca lake. Prepare for high altitudes!

6

Cusco

The origin of trips to Machu Picchu. But do not underestimate Cusco's natural and cultural wonders!

7

Machu Picchu

We ruined it all.

8

Lima

We went here with a plane just to depart back home.
And cook Lomo Saltado with Silvana.
